Emily Kain is an organiser with the Queensland Community Alliance.
Originally from Campbelltown in South West Sydney, Emily is deeply driven to organise the working class to engage in public life. She has eight years’ experience as an organiser and trainer through the climate movement and with the Alliance.
Currently, Emily spends half of her work time with leaders in Logan to win secure, local jobs, and the other half with leaders in Townsville interested in establishing an Alliance in North Queensland.
She is an active delegate and member of the Services Union and the Chair of the Queensland Conservation Council. Emily finds joy in cooking for friends, hanging out in the bush and spending time with her sisters and niece.
